Training to be a logistics officer (VET diploma)
Job description
As a logistics officer, you are responsible for ensuring products are stored correctly and deliveries are prepared in a timely manner. When goods are delivered, you take reception of them, check them and book them into the IT system. If an order arrives, you prepare the dispatch, package and label the goods, compile the delivery paperwork and ensure that everything is transported to the customer without any issues.
Logistics officers have a customer-orientated attitude and a decent level of flexibility and are physically resilient. In order to carry out your individual tasks independently and properly, you will need practical, technical dexterity and an interest in organisational and planning activities.
"I am looking forward to passing on my enthusiasm for logistics to you. We guarantee a smooth flow of goods, optimising delivery times and costs."

Rosario Cataldo, Logistics
What we require from you
You are an independent, reliable, approachable and motivated person who is keen to take on responsibilities. Your strengths include a good understanding of practical and technical matters, a sense of order and a sense of responsibility.
You will spend most of your day on your feet, working in various different warehouses (with the help of machines, of course), so you do need to be in robust health and have good stamina and powers of concentration. And, because logistics is a crucial link between our production and the customer, you need to be thoroughly service-minded.
Education at SERTO
At SERTO, you will quickly become acquainted with goods receipt, product management (including the various storage options) and shipping. Character building and personal development are also important to us, alongside the technical and practical vocational training. We can offer you a friendly team and a down-to-earth, modern working environment. We value your collaboration greatly.
We find that working with young people is an enriching, challenging and motivating task, because it requires flexibility and tolerance. Our aim is to train you to become a motivated, skilled and versatile logistics officer and to give you the right ‘tools’ and the best possible preparation for working life.
